2019 was a rewarding and fruitful year for us at FACTS. We are so thankful for our dedicated team, our generous benefactors, and the medical professionals and students with whom we work each day to increase awareness of the science of fertility awareness! Below are just a few highlights of our successes and impact in 2019 followed by our plans for 2020.

FACTS Conferences
In 2019, our most ambitious initiative involved hosting 3 FACTS CME conferences in Cleveland, Indianapolis, and Dallas. We welcomed medical professionals from various specialties, fertility educators who teach several different methods, and students eager to expand their toolbox of resources to benefit their patients. The positive feedback we received after each conference will fuel our efforts for 2020 as we assemble another superb line-up of speakers for our next one-day conference scheduled for Saturday, July 11th in Baltimore, Maryland. SAVE the DATE!

In November, we gathered in Lancaster, PA for the FACTS annual meeting, held once more in collaboration with the Family Medicine Education Consortium (FMEC) conference. Participants heard from experts about the latest advances in “Fem-Tech,” or female technology, including the latest research on apps and monitoring devices many women are using to facilitate tracking their cycles. The response was so positive we plan to bring back some of these lectures in 2020!

FACTS Ambassadors
One of the most exciting aspects of our growth in 2019, especially for me as the FACTS Student Program Coordinator, was interacting with our growing team of FACTS Ambassadors, who now number over 50! These students and residents are from programs all across the country, and a few international as well! They want to learn more about fertility awareness in their limited free time outside of their demanding educational commitments. These students and residents inspire the FACTS team, and we want to continue to provide webinars, conferences, electives, resources, and networking opportunities that will impact their entire careers.

OUR PLANS for 2020
As the New Year begins, we are thrilled to share some of the ways we plan to magnify our impact in 2020 and beyond. Our goals are directly tied to our mission and vision while incorporating feedback from those who have benefited from our various educational offerings.

Expanding the FACTS Elective
As we look ahead to a new year, we plan to celebrate our growth by expanding our educational offerings! A major goal for 2020 is to update and expand the FACTS online elective we offer in collaboration with Georgetown University School of Medicine. As the science of fertility awareness continues to evolve, we want to highlight the broader medical applications of FABMs by including lectures on polycystic ovary syndrome, endometriosis, and more. We also need to update our recorded video lectures on each of the modern FABMs that students view as a part of this course to ensure we expose them to the latest evidence-based research. Finally, we plan to apply for CME credit for many of these new presentations so we may offer them to physicians and medical professionals as well.

Unique New Webinars
For several years, our webinar series has been a successful way to engage current and future medical professionals every month. In 2020, we plan to add unique webinars by offering an encore of the presentations given at our annual meeting. We look forward to featuring this diverse group of experts as they highlight the newest trends in fem-tech and the latest research on women’s interest in FABMs. These webinars will take place on the fourth Tuesday of every month at 8:30 PM ET, so please mark your calendar.

In addition, we will continue to offer our very popular webinars:

  • Fertility & Family Planning: The Science Behind FABMs
  • FABMs for Achieving and Preventing Pregnancy
  • The Female Cycle as the 5th Vital Sign
  • The Signs of the Female Cycle Explained

These webinars are offered live at various days and times, so hopefully you can find some that fit your schedule. Join us and tell your friends and colleagues!

As an added bonus, FACTS members may attend any of our webinars for FREE, so join FACTS today!

Celebrating a Decade of Impact
Mark your calendars now for an event you won’t want to miss! On October 1, 2020, we look forward to our 10th Anniversary celebration event in Washington, D.C. Please save the date and plan to join us to celebrate our 10 years of sharing the science of fertility awareness with the medical community!

As we welcome a new year and a new decade, we want to thank all of you for the role you have played in FACTS! We can do this important work because of the support we receive from each of you, and our success into the future depends on your ongoing support. Thank you for being a part of FACTS and for supporting our efforts!

We wish you a Happy and Healthy New Year!

All these new programs and offerings will not be possible without your support,
for which we are immensely grateful.

Thank you for believing in our mission, which continues to transform the culture of medicine
by educating more medical professionals each year.

There’s still time to give to FACTS to help us fulfill our mission!

Thank you so much for your generosity.
