In keeping with the FACTS mission to educate physicians and health care professionals so they may empower women and engage men to appreciate and care for their fertility, we are pleased to offer the following programs to the medical community:

Our original presentation, entitled FABMs for Family Planning with a Focus on Preventing Pregnancy is often referred to as the FACTS Medical presentation. This presentation focuses on the science underlying FABMs and describes each of the evidence based methods and their effectiveness rates for preventing pregnancy and in some cases achieving pregnancy.

This curriculum is available as both an in-person speaker presentation and as a live webinar. The course activity has been reviewed and is acceptable for up to 1.00 Elective credit(s) by the American Academy of Family Physicians. FABMs for Family Planning with a Focus on Achieving Pregnancy is a slightly modified version of our original presentation. While the objectives and content are essentially the same, in this presentation we focus first on the use of these methods for achieving pregnancy and include a case where FABM charts aided in the diagnosis and treatment of infertility. We then briefly discuss each of the evidence based FABMs and their effectiveness rates for preventing pregnancy.

Our newest presentation is entitled The Female Cycle as the 5th Vital Sign. This presentation is designed to highlight the health of the female cycle and how the female chart can potentially aid in the diagnosis and work-up of common women’s health concerns.

Share Information with Patients

Last year, in conjunction with Natural Womanhood, FACTS developed our first presentation for a general audience. Entitled Facts about Fertility Explained this presentation is suitable for patients and diverse lay groups. Topics covered include the science of charting a woman’s cycle, the applications and benefits of using FABMs for health, the effectiveness of FABMs for family planning, and the benefits of using FABMs in comparison to artificial methods of birth control.
