Ambassador Program
Become a FACTS Ambassador and Make a Difference in Women’s Reproductive Health.
FACTS is seeking medical and health professional students and residents across the country to be a part of our FACTS Ambassador Program. As a FACTS Ambassador, you will expand your skillset in the field of fertility awareness by networking with FABM-knowledgeable physicians and educating your peers and colleagues about fertility awareness on your campus and community.
Program Description
The FACTS Ambassador Program consists of monthly meetings with FABM experts and fellow Ambassadors, as well as various opportunities to participate in research, present at medical conferences, and gain valuable insight into incorporating FABMs into your practice. Specifically, the program offers you the chance to:
Expand your Clinical Toolbox
Effective communication about FABMs is a key asset to clinical practice. As an Ambassador, you can learn about FABMs and become trained to teach one or more of these methods in order to educate women about their cycle and empower them to care for their health.
Network
Make connections across the country with colleagues interested in FABMs, interact with fellow ambassadors, and participate in regional and national conferences. At national meetings there are opportunities to meet other physicians who incorporate FABMs into their practices and who can serve as role models and career mentors.
Publish & Post
Write articles, blog posts, and newsletters or create videos and other educational resources to be used for internal and external FACTS marketing and awareness campaigns. Get involved in social media marketing and create and publish content about FABMs.
Present & Exhibit
There are many opportunities to present talks or exhibit posters at national, regional, and local medical conferences and health fairs. Through these presentations, you will learn to engage your peers and community, enhance your public speaking, and gain valuable professional experience.
Participate in Research
Participate in research projects with FACTS nationally or on the local level. Learn to write abstracts and design research projects and presentations. These projects may fulfill research requirements. We can provide some suggestions or are willing to support your bright ideas, too!
Host
Host a FACTS Speaker on campus to educate your classmates about FABMs, all the while enhancing your event planning and marketing skills.
Participation Requirements
To participate in the FACTS Ambassador Program, students must:
Be a current medical or health professional student or resident in good standing.
Attend at least 75% of monthly Ambassador calls with FABM experts and fellow Ambassadors.
Participate in 1-2 FACTS Ambassador activities per calendar year.
What Ambassadors have to say …
The ambassador program has provided me with a community of other healthcare professionals that value the health and dignity of women.
I want to be knowledgeable about these methods so I can offer women the full scope of family planning options. FACTS has a lot to offer medical students. I’m lucky to have found such an enriching organization!
The ambassador program has provided me with a community of other healthcare professionals that value the health and dignity of women.
Hearing from speakers at meetings is fantastic, especially from different healthcare professional roles.
Practicing discussing it now equips me with the confidence and knowledge to talk about it with my future employers and patients in a way that is desirable and understandable.
