Below is the story of a young lawyer and her husband as they’ve walked together on the journey through endometriosis diagnosis and treatment. Our deep dive into Endometriosis research continues this week with a review of research published in 2018 in the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology titled, “A prospective cohort study of meat and fish consumption and endometriosis risk.” This is the fifth article we publish to raise awareness about this condition during National Endometriosis Awareness Month, and a good follow-up to last week’s review of a pilot trial about omega-3 fatty acids to treat endometriosis.

Dietary choices are potentially modifiable risk factors known to impact a number of conditions ranging from cardiovascular disease to some cancers, among others. The research reviewed this week assesses the potential impact of omega-3 fatty acids on pain associated with endometriosis.
